3 AM
It is 3 AM. Max, Shannon and I are all awake. It is cool, dark and quiet. We are content to just sit here as a family.
I know we should get some rest. It will be another long day.
I figure I might as well get used to staying up.

He's beautiful! You all seem so peaceful and happy. I was happy to see you so soon afterward today and now that I've read the blog update I'm in happy tears! I haven't been so moved by childbirth since my own. Love you guys- Becky
I am reading this and again Becky is crying, damn Dan you have truly missed your calling. We have enjoyed reading all the posts.
It was really good to see you both this afternoon. Max will be a welcome addition to your family in ways you can't even imagine today. I look forward to watching him grow as you both will as well.
