Starting to sink in...

Now that we are actually telling people it is starting to sink in. This is real. To be perfectly honest, I still get a little queasy when I say the words "we are having a baby" out loud. Is that normal? I mean, I feel so unprepared for a baby. When I sit back and really think about it I am overwhelmed with questions. How do you put on a daiper? When do you know if they are hungry? What should you feed them? How early should they start taking Brazilian Jui Jitsu so they can be The Ulimate Fighting Champion? Would the babyseat fit on the handlebars of the Harley?

See, I'm doing it again...

He thinks he gets a little queasy! I cannot believe that I am pregnant! Honestly, I'm still a little bit in denial. Since I haven't had any morning sickness or any other symptoms really, it's hard to believe that there is a baby beginning to grow inside of me. I've been told that I won't be able to deny it much longer and my expanding waistline is beginning to reinforce the message, but for now, I just feel pudgy!

Congrats to both of you! It's such a wonderful time of your lives! We hope you have a wonderful pregnancy...enjoy every day as you grow into this new phase of your life.

...Remember this... you will find a way to continue your rides on the Harley (it'll be your outlet). Our advice is to keep the Harley. By the time he/she will grow up, all three of you will have your own Harley's! Ha, ha. In our family, all of us want to ride with Johnny P! Hopefully, we will all own our own one day and won't have to wait for JP to finish up at the golf course!

Shannon,
I knew you were pregnant when we met at Olive Garden the last time!! You had the glow! I didn't say anything because I knew you were still in kinda of iffy about the whole thing. Congratulations to you both!! You are going to make a great mother. Of course, Dan is going to be an awesome dad too!!

I highly recommend watching Raising Arizona. The words and wisdom of Nicolas Cage are priceless. Follow that by watching Fast Times at RidgeMont High, and you're totally prepared. Actually, I couldn't be more excited!!!!! I'm voting for a girl, but will love any baby LOTS! Aaron and Meier are pretty psyched about a new cousin, and Aric will be happy to share advice -- even the real nuts and bolt -- no candy ass stuff. I distinctly remember going to dinner when I was pregnant with Meier. We were meeting our also pregnant friends for dinner, and Aric asked if we could PLEASE have dinner WITHOUT talking about placentas! Welcome to pregnancy! It's an awesome journey. Just like the Harley - hold on tight and lean into the corners, and cherish every bump, groove, and smooth spot. That's one lucky baby, for sure! What awesome parents you guys are already! Love ya!
